The Douglas A-4M Skyhawk was a late-model, upgraded variant of the legendary A-4 series, developed specifically for the U.S. Marine Corps.

Equipped with a more powerful engine, advanced avionics, and a distinctive enlarged cockpit canopy for better pilot visibility, the A-4M offered enhanced performance and survivability.

The aircraft was notably flown by VMFA-214 "Black Sheep" Squadron, a unit with a storied history dating back to World War II.

During the late Cold War era, the "Black Sheep" operated the A-4M in both training and close air support roles, maintaining the squadron's reputation for precision and effectiveness.

The A-4M combined the Skyhawk’s renowned agility and toughness with modern upgrades, marking the final evolution of one of America’s most iconic light attack jets.
