The USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23) is a unique and highly specialised nuclear-powered attack submarine of the Seawolf-class submarine, built for the United States Navy.
As the third and final vessel of the Seawolf class, it incorporates significant modifications that set it apart from its sister submarines.
Named after Jimmy Carter, himself a former naval officer and submariner, the vessel reflects both technological advancement and a strong naval heritage.
