The Douglas B-26K Counter Invader was a heavily upgraded version of the wartime A-26 Invader, modified for counter-insurgency and night attack operations during the Vietnam War.

Rebuilt and modernised by On Mark Engineering, the aircraft was designed to meet the evolving demands of low-intensity conflict.

Featuring strengthened wings, upgraded engines, and modern avionics, the Counter Invader was optimised for extended missions and operations in challenging environments.

Its rugged construction and reliability made it well suited for sustained use in Southeast Asia, where it was employed extensively by the United States Air Force.

The B-26K was heavily armed, capable of carrying a wide range of ordnance including bombs, rockets, and gun pods.

Its ability to deliver precise and sustained firepower made it particularly effective in close air support, interdiction, and night strike roles.

Although based on a design from the Second World War, the Counter Invader proved that with modern upgrades, older aircraft could remain highly effective in new operational contexts.
