The Bavarian Infantry during the War of the Spanish Succession (1701–1714) was a key component of the Bavarian army, which allied with France against Austria and its allies.

On the battlefield, Bavarian infantry operated in linear formations, a standard tactic of the time, to maximize the firepower of their muskets.

Soldiers stood shoulder to shoulder in multiple ranks, firing coordinated volleys to create devastating effects on enemy troops.

The line formation emphasized disciplined drill and synchronized firing, with the front rank kneeling while the rear ranks fired over them.

Despite facing powerful adversaries like the Austrian and British forces, Bavarian infantrymen demonstrated determination and skill, particularly at battles such as Blenheim (1704), where their efforts were significant but ultimately unsuccessful in altering the course of the war.
