The Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) was a British Army unit formed during World War II to operate deep behind enemy lines in the deserts of North Africa.

Established in 1940, the LRDG was tasked with conducting reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, and raiding missions against Axis forces in the harsh and remote desert environment.

Comprised primarily of British and Commonwealth personnel, the LRDG was known for its remarkable skill in navigation, desert survival, and guerrilla warfare tactics.
