The Russian T-72B1 with KMT-6 and grating armour is an upgraded version of the T-72 main battle tank that was developed in the 1980s.

The tank is equipped with a 125mm smoothbore gun, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun.

One of the key features of the T-72B1 upgrade is the KMT-6 mine roller system, which is designed to clear mines and other obstacles from the tank's path.

The tank is also equipped with a grating armour system, which consists of a layer of steel mesh that is placed over the tank's hull and turret.

This provides additional protection against rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and other shaped charge weapons.

The T-72B1 with KMT-6 and grating armour has a crew of three and is known for its good mobility, thick armour, and advanced fire control system.

It has a maximum speed of around 60 km/h on roads and is capable of crossing various types of terrain.

The T-72B1 upgrade was introduced in the late 1980s and has been used extensively by the Russian military in various conflicts, including the First and Second Chechen Wars, as well as in the ongoing War in Donbass.
