The Bristol Brigand B Mk.I 'RAF Overseas' was a British twin-engine, piston-powered aircraft designed and manufactured by the Bristol Aeroplane Company during the late 1940s.
Developed as a long-range strike aircraft primarily intended for overseas deployments, the Brigand featured a robust airframe and powerful engines, making it well-suited for operations in remote regions.
Equipped with a combination of cannons, machine guns, and bombs, it served primarily in the Royal Air Force (RAF) Overseas squadrons, where it conducted missions ranging from ground attack and reconnaissance to anti-shipping strikes.
Despite its promising performance, the Brigand's service life was relatively short-lived due to the rapid advancement of jet technology, with production ceasing in 1953.
Nevertheless, it remains a notable example of a specialized aircraft tailored for extended operational reach and versatility in challenging environments.
