The T-90 (Mod. 1992) is a modern Russian main battle tank renowned for its formidable firepower, advanced technology, and robust armour protection.
Developed as an upgrade to the T-72 series, the T-90 entered service with the Russian military in the early 1990s and has since become one of the primary armoured vehicles in its arsenal.
Equipped with a powerful 125mm smoothbore gun, the T-90 is capable of firing a variety of ammunition types, including armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) rounds, high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) shells, and guided missiles, enabling it to engage a wide range of ground targets with precision and lethality.
The tank features advanced composite armour, explosive reactive armour (ERA), and active protection systems (APS) to enhance its survivability against anti-tank threats.
