The Italian 105/28 field cannon was a medium-caliber artillery piece used by the Regio Esercito (Royal Italian Army) during World War II.

Originally designed in the interwar period, the gun fired 105mm shells and had a barrel length of 28 calibers, offering solid performance in both direct and indirect fire roles.

Though based on older World War I-era designs, the version equipped with rubberized wheels was adapted for improved mobility, allowing for faster towing by motorized vehicles across varied terrain.

Capable of delivering effective fire support against enemy fortifications and troop concentrations, the 105/28 was deployed in North Africa, the Balkans, and on the Italian mainland.

While it lacked the range and modern features of newer artillery systems, its rugged simplicity and adaptability made it a reliable workhorse in Italy’s artillery arsenal.
