The Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) Ausf. E/F was a German light tank used during World War II, originally designed as the Czechoslovak LT vz. 38 before Germany took over its production in 1939.

The Ausf. E/F variants, introduced in 1941, featured improved armor, increasing frontal protection to 50mm, making it more resistant to anti-tank weapons.

Armed with a 37mm KwK 38(t) L/47.8 gun and two 7.92mm MG34 machine guns, it was highly reliable and saw extensive use on the Eastern Front and in other theaters.

Though eventually outclassed by more modern tanks, the 38(t) chassis remained in service as a basis for tank destroyers like the Marder III and Jagdpanzer 38(t) "Hetzer".
