The DAC "Sawn-off" British Armoured Car was a unique vehicle employed during World War II by the British Army.
Developed from civilian car chassis, such as the Daimler, it was modified to serve as a reconnaissance and patrol vehicle.
Its distinctive feature was the shortened chassis, earning it the nickname "Sawn-off."
Despite its unconventional appearance, the DAC Armoured Car was equipped with light armor, machine guns, and sometimes a small cannon, providing versatility and firepower suitable for various roles on the battlefield.
Its compact size and agility made it well-suited for reconnaissance missions and urban warfare.
Though not as heavily armored as other vehicles, the DAC "Sawn-off" Armoured Car served as an important asset for British forces, contributing to their mobility and reconnaissance capabilities during the conflict.
