The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger I Ausf. E/III represents one of the most formidable heavy tanks fielded by Germany during World War II.

Renowned for its combination of powerful armament and heavy armour, the Tiger I quickly earned a reputation as a dominant force on the battlefield.

Armed with the highly effective 8.8cm KwK 36 L/56 gun, the Tiger I was capable of engaging and destroying enemy armour at long range with exceptional accuracy.

Its thick, vertically mounted armour provided strong protection against most contemporary anti-tank weapons, making it a difficult opponent to overcome.

The designation “Ausf. E” refers to the main production variant of the Tiger I, while markings such as “E/III” often relate to specific unit identifiers or operational groupings, reflecting the vehicle’s service within particular formations.
