The Russian T-72B1 with 4S24 soft case ERA (Explosive Reactive Armor) is an upgraded version of the T-72 main battle tank that was developed in the 1990s.

The tank is equipped with a 125mm smoothbore gun, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun.

The 4S24 soft case ERA is a type of reactive armor that is designed to protect the tank against anti-tank missiles and other projectiles.

It consists of modules that are attached to the tank's hull and turret, each containing a layer of explosive material sandwiched between two metal plates.

When a projectile hits the armor, the explosive material detonates, causing the metal plates to deform and absorb the energy of the impact.

The T-72B1 with 4S24 soft case ERA has a crew of three and is known for its good mobility, thick armor, and advanced fire control system.

It has a maximum speed of around 60 km/h on roads and is capable of crossing various types of terrain.

The T-72B1 with 4S24 soft case ERA upgrade was introduced in the 1990s and has been used extensively by the Russian military in various conflicts, including the First and Second Chechen Wars, as well as in the ongoing War in Donbass.

The tank has also been exported to several other countries, including Belarus and Kazakhstan.
