The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) is the lead ship of the U.S. Navy’s newest class of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, representing the most advanced warship ever built.

Commissioned in 2017, it features cutting-edge technologies including the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS), advanced arresting gear, and a redesigned flight deck for increased sortie rates.

Powered by two A1B nuclear reactors, the carrier supports over 75 aircraft and a crew of more than 4,500. Named after the 38th U.S. President, Gerald R. Ford sets a new standard for naval power projection and operational efficiency.
