The F-4K Phantom FG.1 was a specially modified British variant of the legendary McDonnell-Douglas F-4 Phantom II, tailored for Royal Navy carrier operations.

Featuring a reinforced undercarriage, extendable nose strut for steeper catapult launches, and Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines for improved low-speed handling, the FG.1 stood apart from its American counterparts.

This late version reflects upgrades introduced during RAF service after the aircraft was transferred from the Navy, including avionics enhancements and tactical refinements.

The F-4K served with distinction into the 1980s, combining raw power with British engineering finesse.
