The AS-90 (Artillery System for the 1990s) is a British self-propelled 155mm howitzer designed to provide mobile, long-range fire support for modern armoured and mechanised forces.

Entering service with the British Army in the early 1990s, it was developed to replace earlier artillery systems and deliver improved accuracy, range, and rate of fire on the battlefield.

Mounted on a tracked chassis, the AS-90 combines mobility with protection, allowing it to operate alongside frontline units in a variety of combat environments.

Its fully rotating turret houses a 155mm gun capable of firing a wide range of ammunition types, including high-explosive, smoke, and precision-guided rounds.
