The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a modern multirole carrier-based fighter developed for the United States Navy, representing a significant evolution of the earlier Hornet family.
Entering service in the late 1990s, the Super Hornet was designed to perform a wide range of missions, including air superiority, strike operations, reconnaissance, and fleet defence.
Although it shares its general layout with the original F/A-18, the F/A-18E is a larger and more advanced aircraft, featuring increased fuel capacity, improved range, and enhanced survivability.
Its refined airframe incorporates reduced radar signature characteristics, while upgraded avionics and sensor systems provide pilots with superior situational awareness in complex combat environments.
Powered by twin turbofan engines, the Super Hornet delivers strong performance across a variety of mission profiles.
