The Bedford MWD General Service (Open Cab/Aeroscreen) was a light military truck widely used by the British Army during the Second World War.
Based on the Bedford MW series, the MWD featured a 15-cwt capacity and a robust 72 hp six-cylinder engine, making it reliable on and off road.
The open cab version with simple aeroscreens was among the earliest wartime configurations, intended to reduce weight and material use while speeding up production.
Used for transporting troops, equipment, and supplies, the MWD became one of the most common British soft-skin vehicles of the conflict, serving in every theatre from Europe to North Africa.
