The Soviet BTR-152V was an improved variant of the original BTR-152 armoured personnel carrier, developed for service with the Soviet Army during the early Cold War period.
Designed to enhance mobility and operational flexibility, it introduced important refinements over earlier versions.
One of the key upgrades of the BTR-152V was the addition of a central tyre inflation system, allowing the driver to adjust tyre pressure while on the move.
This significantly improved cross-country performance, enabling the vehicle to operate more effectively over soft ground, mud, sand, and snow—conditions commonly encountered in diverse operational environments.
Retaining the open-topped design of earlier variants, the BTR-152V provided transport for infantry units while allowing rapid embarkation and disembarkation.
The spacious rear compartment could accommodate a squad of troops, making it well suited for both troop transport and support roles.
Mounted on a robust six-wheeled chassis, the vehicle combined simplicity with durability, ensuring ease of maintenance and reliability in field conditions.
