The Biedka wz.33 with CKM wz.30 was a practical and mobile heavy machine gun setup used by Polish forces in the 1930s, combining a horse-drawn transport cart with a powerful crew-served weapon.

Designed to improve mobility and rapid deployment, this system was widely used by infantry and cavalry units.

The Biedka wz.33 was a two-wheeled cart specifically designed to carry heavy weapons, ammunition, and equipment.

It allowed machine gun teams to move quickly across the battlefield, particularly in units that still relied on horse transport.

The cart could carry the weapon, tripod, ammunition boxes, and sometimes even elements of the crew’s gear.

Mounted or transported with the cart was the Ckm wz.30, a Polish-developed version of the American Browning M1917.

This water-cooled machine gun was capable of sustained automatic fire, making it highly effective for defensive positions, suppressive fire, and covering advancing troops.

In action, the crew would quickly dismount the weapon from the cart, set it up on its tripod, and prepare it for firing.

The water-cooling system allowed the CKM wz.30 to maintain a high rate of fire over extended periods without overheating—an important advantage in prolonged engagements.

This combination of mobility and firepower made the Biedka wz.33 system especially useful for cavalry units, including Uhlans, who required equipment that could keep pace with mounted troops while still delivering effective battlefield support.
