The Bofors 37mm Anti-Tank Gun was one of the most effective light anti-tank weapons of the late 1930s, widely used by several nations including Poland.

Designed by the Swedish company Bofors, it was adopted by the Polish Army as the wz.36 and became the backbone of its anti-tank defences on the eve of the Second World War.

Firing high-velocity 37mm armour-piercing rounds, the Bofors gun was capable of penetrating the armour of most early-war tanks, including German vehicles such as the Panzer I and Panzer II.
